Overview

The New York Climate Exchange presents its fully funded Climate Tech Fellowship for 2026, targeting early-stage innovators, researchers, founders, and entrepreneurs worldwide. This six-month hybrid program includes an in-person component in New York City (September 2026) and virtual sessions (October 2026-January 2027). The fellowship focuses on Energy & Urban Resilience, covering End-use Energy Innovation, Power Generation & Storage, Grid Modernization, and Natural Carbon Solutions. It aims to unite professionals addressing urban adaptability, offering mentorship, funding, and essential resources for climate solutions. Each selected team receives a $10,000 non-dilutive stipend and a customized fellowship blueprint. One team member's travel and accommodation for the in-person Climate Week in NYC are fully covered, fostering networking with peers, mentors, and investors, enhancing their climate ventures' impact.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following for the Climate Tech Fellowship:

• Actively developing energy technologies aligned with Energy & Urban Resilience.

• At prototype, early pilot, or early commercialization stage.

• Available several hours weekly from September 2026 to February 2027.

• Open to global innovators; no university affiliation or company incorporation required.

• Exclusively for innovators at pre-company formation to pre-seed stage.
